L. L. Rue
My “Favorite Link” for this edition of our newsletter is www.rue.com Here you will find some unique and helpful accessories for wildlife photography. I was fortunate enough to meet Lennie & Len Rue, Jr. one day on Winslow Hill at my favorite spot. I was waiting for the elk to appear late in the day and they asked if they could join me in the wait. Believe me, these guys know a ton about wildlife photography! It was a thrill to hear them tell one photography story after another for the time we were together waiting for the elk to appear. Their website is definitely worth checking out!
I just posted some new photographs of some geese and goslings. I was out on the shoot this past Friday and found it challenging to photograph these beautiful birds. I think I did capture some good poses, but take a look yourself and see what you think. You can access these new photos by going to my Bird Gallery and navigating toward the bottom. Or click on the photo to the left to get there.
We are pleased to announce that we have been receiving a high level of interest in our upcoming PA Elk Photo Experience trips. We have received many inquiries and have had several sign-ups already. We do thank those who are helping to get the word out, as word of mouth is definitely the best advertising! You can find more information about these unique photographic experiences by clicking on the “Photo Trips” banner to the left. Sign up today before the trips are full!
Willie Wonka, Jr. was a big success at Pleasant Valley Intermediate school at the beginning of this month. I had the privilege of capturing some of the action with my camera. The photos can be viewed on my website by clicking on Willie Wonka photo to the left. Some of you may have had trouble viewing the photos in the old gallery, so I created a new and improved one. It is still a secure gallery. The username is pvi and the password is wonka. I hope you enjoy this new and improved way to view the photos. Professional prints can be purchased. A special discount is in effect through June 15th.
LVBA players and parents can view photographs from recent Tournaments on the website. You can check them out by clicking on the photo to the left. I created a new secure gallery with the newest photos, which can be accessed by clicking on the LVBA2 button. Professional prints are available and prices are listed on the webpage.
Wildlife Photo Tip of the Month

Those who know me will find this hard to believe, but when photographing wildlife you have to be patient. I know, I can be extremely impatient many times, but out in the wild outdoors patience is your best friend. Trying to photograph wildlife is not a fast process. Sometimes we wait and wait with no animal making an appearance at all. Other times, like today when I was photographing geese, I find myself doing more waiting than shooting. Being patient with a decided determination will help you be ready when the moment arrives. At times this moment can be elusive, but with a positive and patient attitude you can be an effective wildlife photographer!
